This sound library features a collection of audio recordings captured using a contact microphone in diverse locations, including the harbor of La Maddalena, the island of Sicily, and other remote spots. These recordings reveal hidden vibrations and resonances often imperceptible to the human ear—mechanical hums, structural reverberations, and deep, textural tones. Some recordings were taken in windy conditions, creating a distinctive hissing effect as the wind interacted with the cable. From industrial drones to organic resonances, Ultrasonic Contact Microphone offers a rich palette of sounds for experimental music, sound design, and ambient compositions.
