Album Notes
“Great Spotted Woodpecker” is a sonic exploration of one of the most recognizable forest rhythms – the characteristic clatter and vocal calls of the great spotted woodpecker. The album captures intimate moments of forest life: from sharp and clear taps on a tree, to the soft background noises of leaves, wind and distant birds.
The recordings were made in their natural environment, at the nest, without intervention or processing, to preserve the authentic nature of the encounter between sound and space. This is a deeply focused audio experience – suitable for listeners seeking pure nature sounds, ASMR sensations, inspiration for meditation or simply an escape from the noise of the city.
The project is part of the Nomadic Soundscapes series, which documents wildlife through careful, organic field recordings.
